What books do you want to read?
One of my goals this year is to read more indie and self-published books. Supporting independent authors not only helps amplify their work but often leads to discovering unique and creative stories that stand out from the mainstream.
Which brings me to the latest book I’m starting today: Welcome to Dahmerville by Christopher Charlton.
I mentioned this book in my 2024 Books I Bought post, but I’m finally getting around to reading it. What drew me to Welcome to Dahmerville was my love for Charlton’s comic Black of Heart. That story captivated me with its haunting visuals and gripping narrative, so I’m excited to see what he does in a longer, novel format.
This feels like the perfect way to dive deeper into indie books this year, and I’m hoping it won’t be my last from Charlton.
Now, I’d love to hear from you: What books are you excited to read? Bonus points if they’re indie or self-published! Let’s share some recommendations in the comments and help each other find our next great read.
