I recently wrote about the best places to join a book club and mentioned Fable, where my buddy Blake and I host our own. After wrapping up Ghost Camera by Darcy Coates, we decided to keep the club focused on horror, and with input from our members, we’ve chosen our next book: Carrie by Stephen King.

For the month of April, we’ll be reading Carrie together, and we’d love for you to join us!
How Our Book Club Works
We keep things casual, encouraging members to read daily at their own pace. Fable’s chapter-based discussion format allows you to post thoughts within each chapter without getting spoiled—plus, you’ll only get notified if you’ve participated in that section. I typically read and comment on one chapter per day, which keeps the conversation going without pressure.
One of my favorite things about this club is sharing theories with other readers—especially in books where surprises lurk around every corner. If you haven’t read Carrie yet, now is the perfect time to experience Stephen King’s debut novel with a group of fellow horror fans.
What’s Next?
We’re also planning to turn our final thoughts into a podcast for each book we read, so stay tuned for that! If we get enough people joining in, we may even host a watch party on Discord for the Carrie movie or set up a discussion about it.
