Welcome back! If you read my post on Friday about Measure What Matters, thank you for coming back to check out my first wellness update. If you missed it, no worries—catch up on last week’s post, where I introduced my personal OKRs for improving my health and fitness. In short, I created an Objective to “Improve Overall Health and Fitness” and laid out four Key Results to keep me on track.
As a way to stay accountable and track my progress, I’m going to update you each week on how I’m doing with my OKRs. Let’s dive right into the first week!

Objective: Improve Overall Health and Fitness
Here’s a quick reminder of my Key Results and how I did in the first week:
Key Result 1: Lose 1 pound per week
✅ Green – I started strong with a 5.5-pound weight loss! While I think part of this may be due to the timing of my initial weigh-in, I’m thrilled with this hot start.
Key Result 2: Work out 4.5 times a week
🟡 Yellow – I worked out 4 times this week, which is a solid start, but it’s one short of my target. I’m marking this as yellow to keep myself motivated to hit 5 workouts next week. I’m confident I can step it up!
Key Result 3: Limit fast food consumption to 0.5 times per week
✅ Green – No fast food for me this week! This was a big win, especially considering how easy it is to fall into the trap of quick, unhealthy meals.
Key Result 4: Drink 100 oz of water daily
🟡 Yellow – I tracked about 78.9% of my water intake goal this week. The weekend was a bit of a struggle—I wasn’t hitting the gym and didn’t focus as much on hydration. But I’m determined to push harder next week!
Week 1 Recap:

With two greens and two yellows, I’m off to a solid start! The yellow markers remind me that there’s still room for improvement, but I’m happy with the progress. These goals feel both challenging and achievable, which is exactly what I wanted.
I’ll be posting Week 2 updates on Wednesday, so be sure to check back to see how I continue to make progress.
